The Government of Japan (GOJ) provides the escort operation by Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) for vessels in accordance with the following schedule.

The JMSDF sends the following SCORT SCHEDULES in February 2012 as the information to facilitate your planning.

             Escort schedules in FEBRUARY 2012

The rendez-vous (start & end) position:

               “A” 11-50N, 045-00E           Base speed: 12 knts

               “B” 14-28N, 053-00E           Base speed: 12 knts

Westbound (start “B” and ending "A"):               

· 1400UTC 06 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 10 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 19 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 23 FEB 12

· 1500UTC 29 FEB 12

Eastbound (start “A” and ending "B")  

· 1400UTC 04 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 08 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 17 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 21 FEB 12

· 1400UTC 27 FEB 12

The rendez-vous (start & end) position:

               “A” 11-50N, 045-00E           Base speed: 12 knts

               “C” 14-55N, 054-38E           Base speed: 12 knts

Westbound (start “C” and ending "A"):

· 0500UTC 13 MAR 12

· 0500UTC 18 MAR 12

· 0500UTC 26 MAR 12

Eastbound (start “A” and ending "C")  

· 1500UTC 02 MAR 12

· 1500UTC 10 MAR 12

· 1500UTC 31 MAR 12

Please note that application for JMSDF escort operation must be made directly to the GOJ, which is a separate procedure from the application to MSC(HOA).
