Japanese Convoy Schedule for MARCH and APRIL 2013

1. General Information:

The Government of Japan (GOJ) provides the escort operation by Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) for vessels in accordance with the following schedule.

The JMSDF sends the following SCORT SCHEDULES for March and April 2013 as the information to facilitate your planning.

Please notice that Japanese Starting Points are as follows:

Point A: 11-50N, 045-00E
Point B: 14-28N, 053-00E
Point C: 14-55N, 054-38E

2. Schedule:

Escort schedules in MARCH 2013

Due to end of the monsoon season, escort will be conducted between Point A and C from March.

Westbound (start “C” and ending "A"):

0500UTC 17 MAR 13
0500UTC 25 MAR 13

Eastbound (start “A” and ending "C"):

1500UTC 22 MAR 13
1500UTC 30 MAR 13

Escort schedules in APRIL 2013

Due to end of the monsoon season, escort will be conducted between Point A and C from March.

Please note that application for JMSDF escort operation must be made directly to the GOJ, which is a separate procedure from the application to MSC(HOA).
